You got me frowning because I was expecting the names of the suits to be "Cups, Staves, Coins, Swords." It's a good indicator of how amazing the game is that this is my only issue.

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for your kind words and I hope that the finished version is even more enjoyable!

as for the coins, tbh we just directly translated it from spanish, coins is called "oro" which means gold, and in the rush of the game jam we just went with it, we realised later the name was incorrect.

As for staves, we usually find that both clubs and staves are used interchangeably, maybe it depends on the culture?

Great to see a game using Spanish deck.

Thanks!

Hey I made 1B without going into negative score this time:

(+2)

btw did you know, if you click a lot on a sticker it groooows ;)

(+1)

Actually we did not lmao! thank you very much for the info, we'll fix it soon enoug

(+3)

This is the best game I have played this year!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!

(+2)

Thank you! working for the full realease to be even better! you can wishlist on steam now

(+4)

This kinda feels like balatro, in a good way!

(+3)

SK/CZ LET'S PLAY!!!

Good game, I had fun with it.

This could be great online multiplayer game, where you play against real people, winning money, buying new cards and stickers and maybe even some "immunities" or what, that will make you immune against some of the enemy's stickers and so on... It had potential to do much with this, consider it

Also, it would be fun if you could play this multiplayer version like classical, 1v1, or even more players against each other (for example, player 1 has 7, P2 has 8, P3 has 9, then P3 takes all cards; if it is draw - P1 has 7, P2 and P3 has 8, then P2 and P3 will battle against themselves to decide a winner)

Just a thought with some ideas, if you're interested

ANYWAY, GREAT GAME!

(+3)

Awesome comments.
Thanks for playing and the feedback <3

(+3)

That was one of the best games I've ever played.

you have to translate to BR (brazilian portuguese) pleaseeeeeeeeee

(+3)

Thank you! we are honored to hear you say that! We will definitely translate to br for the full game :)

(+4)

fun game! the stickers make it difficult to see the original cards though :(

(+2)

Hey! That's intentional for the design. We are considering making stickers a bit smaller to allow for better positioning, but we want players to have to make sure their card stays visible depending on how they place stickers

(+3)

the characters were getting more and more interesting with each round! i wish there was a way to save my progress

(+1)

Glad you liked the evolution of the characters! We will have a save system on the full version :)

(+3)

this is fricking awesome , please do make this a full fledged game

Thank you! We will!

(+5)

I really liked this game! Perhaps adding a way that when you hover over a card it tells you the base value and suit, as with so many stickers is impossible to tell before selecting.

Hey! thank you. We want sticker placement and chaos on the card to be part of the experience, but we are listening to the players, we will try with some changes to see if that hover is still needed

(+4)

I see a lot of people comenting about the suits of  the cards being confusing. They are the spanish deck suits, with the design in the cards being the ace of each suit on the original deck. Please do not change this, i loved seeing the spanish deck in the game when i opened the game.

I agree with the comments saying that there should be a textbox or label with info about the card that appears when you hover the mouse over it, with info like the suit, the number on the card and the stickers it has. It becomes hard to see the info when you have a lot of stickers

Also, the game felt too easy, i think that the latest rivals had not enough stickers on its cards and also that always choosing first is too much powerful.

I loved the game and seeing the spanish deck cards brought back a lot of memories. I hope you get succesful with the game

(+2)

No worries! We are planning on keeping the spanish deck for the time being, its what makes this games more interesting to us, there are already enough games with poker cards around

(+1)

Cool game but I can't tell what suites most of the cards are, I have no idea what clubs or gold looks like. It made figuring out what was going on pretty hard for a lot of the stickers.

(2 edits) (+1)

Same, I only figured out suits by trial and error

Hey thanks! Yes we noticed, the spanish deck is not so popular in other countries and we will definitely have to find a way to teach the four suits through gameplay

(+3)

Love the game but may have made a way too OP of a strategy as my oponents were playing in the tens while I was in the hundreds and thousands (I think the highest was like 1600 somethings)

(+2)

This is peak

(+3)

Good game i like this game, So much fun, I can't wait for it to come out on Steam!

(+3)

Great Game! I love the strategy and how much you have to think ahead. My only complaint is readability. A few points to that:

1. As cool as the suit art looks, it's rather difficult to tell what suit a card is at a glance, even more so when there are a lot of stickers on a card. The flow of the game is interrupted when you have to stare at a card for several seconds to figure out what suit it is. This is especially annoying when the suit plays such a big part in the game with the green/red diamond stickers. Also, if you are going to use non-traditional suits like the sword or gold, a reference for the player to understand these suits is going to be a necessity. (Think a label for the name of the suit with an example image next to it.)

2. The stickers are a little bit big for the card face, and it leads to a cluttered mess when trying to figure out what a card is capable of. Since the player can already hover over a sticker to see what it does, I think reducing the size of the stickers would be a good change.

3. Overlapping stickers are another readability problem. Unless I am mistaken, I don't believe there is an intent to hide information from a player about what the opponent's card will do. When stickers overlap, it becomes harder or even impossible to hover over them and determine their function. Not to mention being unable to clearly determine how many stickers a card has for the effects that care about that.

4. The draw and discard piles could be labeled. It might not be an issue for everybody, but I'll admit I didn't realize what they were until the third opponent.

Beyond that, this is a really cool concept that was enjoyable to play! Good luck with the future of this project!

(+1)

Hey thank you for the detailed feedback, glad you liked the game! I agree with the stickers size, overlapping and readability certainly are an issue.
We still want Pegote to feel a bit chaotic and have your sticker placement be key on keeping the card readable

(+3)

Very nice gameplay! But I guess there is no way to lose

(+2)

hello! yeah! its quite hard to lose atm, you loose when you run out of cards! We are planning on continuing work on it and for a fuller version make it more difficult!

(+3)
The stickers made this game really tense near the end
(+3)

I didn't find any of the broken strategies during my playthrough, the funniest thing is seeing how chaotic it gets with how many stickers each card has and it getting even more difficult or almost impossible to tell what your card's base value is anymore

(+2)

Finish it first try in 30 min. Very cool game.

(+2)

Very fun game!

(+3)

I am very inspired by the tight gameplay loop and design principles used here. Such a nice augment to the original game, really great work

(+3)

cool game

(+3)

So cool! I love how you really have to do alot of math there and all the time your thinking has to be reacjusted to the new situation! And the wholesome style is amazing!

(+3)

The game is pretty interesting . I honestly enjoy playing it. I would like to see this game in my native language. If you want this game to reach a Russian audience, just contact me. I really want to localize the game into Russian

(+3)

Fun!  I will say that once the card is covered with stickers, I have no idea what the original suit is.  But that could be by design.
Something I would be more careful with during a second run,
Highly enjoyable, though!

(+2)

i agree!! haha

(+3)

Al inicio no entendí muy bien la dinámica pero me divertí un montón! Que gran juego.

(+3)

I really like it! I would like some better explanations for stickers, like the twin one. What exactly does it mean to have a twin? Or For the spiral, is it the spirals on this card or the all the spirals in the deck? Or the white one, is it only about the stickers on your own card or also about the stickers of the enemy card? Stuff like that. I know its hard to idiot proof instructions and this is really more of a nitpick than an actual problem.
I am excited to try out more of your games!

(+2)

İts so good

Fun little game, but it’s way too easy to cheese it. There should be a consequence for creating a card that’s more sticker than card.

edit: now with more cheese

second edit: lawl, I really should have looked at the comments before posting

(+2)

Yeah, the game actually kinda plays itself.

Random stuff go still wins 30% of rounds. If you think about it, the only advantage your opponent has here is picking between 2 stickers rather than 1. And your deck literally evolves on its own. That's not even a joke. It removes bad cards on its own and keeps the good cards. Peak natural selection.

There need to be some sort of modifiers that you have to play around and plan for.

(+4)

Very fun!

(+5)

Wow that was a lot of fun! I'd love to see more content for it, like an online mode, or an encyclopedia of stickers you've collected by placing them on a card, or challenge runs!

(+5)

Amazing Game!! Hoping for an online mode maybe

(+1)

bro this is such a cool idea for a card game i wanna play this irl

(+5)

We got you bro

(+4)

Absolutely peak

(+6)

Great game really addicting wish to see more 10/10 😅

(+1)

Thanks for playing!!

(+3)

A short and sweet game thats surprisingly engaging and easy to learn! Can't wait to see how it evolves

(+3)

Great game! I had a lot of fun :)

One thing I noticed - the last opponent's dialogue got cut off before finishing every time. Was this on purpose or is this a bug? I played the browser/web version btw.

(+3)

This was fun! I won on my first run through, but there was a bit there where I wasn’t sure if it was gonna be over for me.

I like the chaos of the stickers, and how if you don’t think ahead enough while you’re sticking them you can run out of space and suddenly have no idea what the card is anymore, or how sometimes based on past choices all three sticker options are bad.
